Pete Gilroy was born in Forster St. Galway and was better known in the Galway area as a drummer for over thirty years. Peter played with a variety of bands over that period covering many styles depending on the gig. These gigs included 'Blues' at the Roisin Dubh, a local parish dance or in the orchestral pit of a panto or musical.

The tracks on Pete Gilroys new CD album are fresh, sweet and a real treat to the ear. The lyrics are simple in their message with wonderful hook lines that stay in your memory. This combined with melodies that are very rhythmic shows the experience of a musician who brought forward a wealth of musical craft from years of gigging in live venues.
